It’s magical night of Shot-on-Video nightmares, commercial delights, and other assorted oddities.

What could have possessed us to continue our Year of the Monsters film series by showing a movie about demons in October? What movie, you ask? That's a surprise, but we'll give you a few hints: It's one of Orrin's favorites; it actually takes place in October (but not on Halloween); and it comes from a short story by M. R. James.
Hope you're hungry, because we’re serving up a feast like no other with Peter Greenaway’s 1989 classic of food, class, violence and revenge. A wealthy gangster and his goons take over a fine dining restaurant to the displeasure of the staff and patrons, but things get complicated when the gangster’s wife falls for a fellow diner. Come for an all-timer turn by Michael Gambon, stay for a powerful Helen Mirren and a final course to remember.
THIS MONTH: In the spirit of thankfulness, we're opening up Video Void for a pot luck...a video pot luck! Instead of a night of video strangeness from your truly, we're slinging videos submitted by the video void faithful.
Gremlins kicked off a whole subgenre of movies about mean-spirited, gloppy little monsters, but such weird little guys have been with us throughout the ages, and they're what we're celebrating in the latest installment of our Year of Monsters film series. What movie are we showing? That's a surprise, but we'll give you a few hints: It's a sequel; it takes place in a carnival; and it's directed by someone with family ties to gribbly little monsters.
What is it? The only way to know for sure is to come join us for a FREE screening , then stick around after the show as Orrin and Tyler discuss their favorite diminutive monsters and hand out some oversized giveaways!
