Banmei Takahashi’s hangout film/erotic dramedy takes a look at the lives of two sex workers in Tokyo: Rei, who works as an S&M dominatrix, and Ayumi, in the more straightforward profession of call girl. But Rei’s also acting in theater and Ayumi’s trying to apply for college. Part of the TOKYO DECADENCE series, this sensitive, humanist portrait remains one of the best portraits of sex work ever made.
