As the Horror Pod Class wraps up our Yearbook series covering a century of fright films, December is the time for ghost stories... or, at least, stories with ghosts in them. And so, for our 2015 installment, we're revisiting Guillermo del Toro's love letter to the gothic romance, Crimson Peak.
Divisive at the time of its release, Crimson Peak has since developed as much of a cult following as a major movie by an Academy Award-winning director can claim. Does it deserve it? The only way to find out is to join us for a FREE screening, after which Tyler and Orrin will talk about the gothic genre, the tradition of ghost stories at Christmas, whether or not horror movies need to be scary, and probably Tom Hiddleston's butt.
THE HORROR POD CLASS is a monthly free screening hosted by Orrin Grey and Tyler Unsell where they seek out horror films that could be useful in a school setting. Screenings start at 7pm with a live podcast recording taking place after.
