You may not know the name Kazuo Umezu, but you've been touched by his legacy. The "god of horror manga" inspired beloved creators like Junji Ito and Hideshi Hino. Now, one year after his death and on the anniversary of his birthday, Stray Cat Film Center and hosts Orrin Grey of the Horror Pod Class and Elijah LaFollette of Analog Sunday are paying homage to a giant with four nights of bizarre and bewildering Kazuo Umezu film adaptations. You won't know what you'll be watching until you're seated, but we guarantee it'll be like nothing you've ever seen before. And who knows, you might even learn a little something... about fear!
Hint: Released to coincide with the 50th anniversary of Kazuo Umezu's career, we'll be presenting two eerie shorts featuring some of Umezu's trademarks, including snakes, kids in peril, and a very creepy doll.
