Once again, we’re spending some time this spooky season with a series of often missed and rarely screened Asian horror gems. Our focus this year is the 1980s, where in Asian horror gel lights reigned supreme and every filmmaker was in an arms race to see who could make some of the wildest special effects possible. We’re talking witches, goopy neon monsters, haunted dolls, evil cats flying though the air, and other out there treats.
There’s one catch: each title is a mystery until the screening starts. But isn’t that part of the fun? But when the tickets are only $1 who cares?
