TAKE CARE OF MY CAT follows five young women in Incheon and Seoul, bridging the gap between youth and adulthood and navigating the shifting working- and middle-class identities in Korea at the turn of the millennium. Tae-hee balances two jobs - one as a sauna worker, one as a volunteer poet’s assistant, Hye-soo burns away at a brokerage firm, twins Bi-ryu and Ohn-jo try and sell their handmade jewelry, all while Ji-young care for her grandparents and cat, Tee-Tee.
Somehow in the vein of both SISTERHOOD OF THE TRAVELLING PANTS and Kore-eda, TAKE CARE OF MY CAT is now hitting screens thanks to a revitalization effort from Kani Releasing.
